April 11th Oil Fact and Photo of the Day

The Obama Administration can cut our dependence on oil a further 44 million gallons in 2030 by setting vehicle efficiency standards of at least 60 miles per gallon in 2025 (Union of Concerned Scientists and Natural Resources Defense Council fact sheet: "The Road Ahead").

The Sierra Club is participating in an action that has us delivering a photo of the effects (and a solution to) our oil addiction to members of Congress between mid-March and the BP oil disaster anniversary on April 20. We'll also post them here each day.
