April 13th Oil Fact and Photo of the Day

Public transportation use saves the equivalent of 900,000 automobile fill-ups every day, but only 54% of Americans have access to public transit. (American Public Transit Association, US Census Bureau, American Housing Survey)

The Sierra Club is participating in an action that has us delivering a photo of the effects (and a solution to) our oil addiction to members of Congress between mid-March and the BP oil disaster anniversary on April 20. We'll also post them here each day.
