One Small Thing: Two Miles or Less
Gandhi once said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." And when is a better time to be the change than now? The amount of atmospheric carbon has skyrocketed. And world leaders are balking at doing anything about it. What can one person do? Not much -- unless a lot of people take part.
That's why once a week, beginning on Earth Day, we'll post one small thing you can do to lessen your carbon footprint. Indicate that you're on board by liking and sharing with us your experience in the comments section. The goal is to get enough people participating that one small thing will turn into be a very big deal.
#1. Two Miles or Less.
About four out of ten car trips are within two miles. Pick one short trip out of the week you usually drive, and opt to either walk or bike it. Bad weather? Visit our tips on biking in bad weather. Tell us how it goes.
