Nose Woes

Clothespin_nose_istock_000005583298 Smog in Mexico City may be destroying residents' sense of smell, suggests a new study conducted by scientists at Mexico's National Autonomous University. Compared with inhabitants of a nearby town, Mexico City dwellers found it more difficult to detect certain scents, including the smell of sour milk. Researchers think that chronic pollution in the city may have caused the olfactory damage.

Protect your schnoz by checking the air quality forecast for your area before outdoor activities. When exercising outdoors, opt for a park or a side street. Avoid high traffic roadways, especially during peak commute hours.
