Not All Toilet Paper is Created Equal

... at least that’s the message of Greenpeace’s recent spoof of a Kleenex commercial:

The Greenpeace video links tissue-paper use with the destruction of fragile forest ecosystems and promotes the organization's new  Recycled Tissue and Toilet Paper Guide, which sorts between the good, the bad, and the wasteful. The pocket-sized handbook rates facial tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, and paper napkins to educate shoppers about their eco-friendliest options.

To earn a positive ranking, products must be made from 100 percent recycled material, bleached without chlorine chemicals, and made of at least 50 percent post-consumer recycled content.

The idea is to make choosing the most ethical paper quick and easy. To that end, you can also download the guide to your mobile phone.
