Green Your Cooking: Think Outside the Oven

Las What you eat and how far your food travels to get to you are important considerations, but it’s also a good idea to think about how you cook your meals; by doing so, you can reduce your energy use -- and your meals will taste great too.

Tip #2: Think Outside the Oven

We’re all pretty comfortable using our oven, stove, and microwave, but there are many less traditional ways to cook that are fun and eco-friendly. Consider solar ovens. They use the sun’s rays to cook your meal.
