Climate Summit Clash: A crowd of 250 protesters targeting big business rallied in downtown Copenhagen. At least 40 people (some reports say 68 people) were detained by Danish police. Sierra Club and New York Times

Lessons Learned: A study of middle school students in Louisiana found that kids who participated in hands-on horticulture lessons performed better on science tests than students who did not receive the hands-on training. Treehugger

Everybody's Talkin' 'bout: "Global Warming" took the top spot in the Global Language Monitor's "Top Words of the Decade" list. Ecorazzi

Tech Team: The Electronic Device Recycling Research and Development Act passed the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. The new legislation will fund research that addresses the e-waste problem. DailyTech

The Warming Arctic: As climate change shortens their traditional hunting season, Inuit leaders are calling for funds to help them adapt. The Inuits hope to use some of the money to buy deep freezers for storing meat during lean months. Reuters
