It's Still Park and Recreation Month . . .

Canoeing family Before the end of July, make it a point to get outdoors to participate in some of the perks of Park and Recreation Month. Since 1985, the National Recreation and Park Association has called July the official month for outdoor fun. As a result, parks across America kick off summer programs, organize and recruit volunteers, and promote physical activity in natural settings.

To celebrate this year’s 31 days of festivity, plenty of wide-open places are offering ways to help you enjoy your July adventures outside. This Saturday, the state of Florida is waiving admission fees to each of its 160 state parks. Denver's website lists 31 activities, one for each day of the month, for park enthusiasts to enjoy.

Online travel companies are pitching in too: Cheapflights.com provides its "Top 10 List of National Parks," plus suggestions about how to pack for a camping trip if you're flying to your destination.

Tell us: What’s your favorite Park and Recreation Month activity?
