Jobs With Justice

The Sierra Club co-sponsored a "visioning" event in Louisville, Kentucky, on December 9 to exchange ideas and educate residents of the predominantly low-income West End neighborhood about options for the area's economic future. Sierra Club organizer Aloma Dew spoke to the crowd about the negative impacts of big box stores such as WalMart on communities like the West End. The billboard pictured above, advertising the event, appeared on Broadway in downtown Louisville.
